Over the last year I have been testing out a new way of working: “Do Less To Get More Done.” I had heard of this concept many times before, however, it wasn’t until 2013 when I really started to put this into practice (most of the time… I’m a work-in-progress like everyone!).
Here’s what I had to learn:
- make decisions faster
- say “No” a lot more
- let go
- did I mention, trust?
For most entrepreneurs, who are “doers”, this concept is foreign. We live in a culture that celebrates hard work, persistence and “go, go, go!” Realistically, that is how a lot of success has happened for a lot of people. But I began to ponder: Is there a better way, really?
After years of running myself ragged, I decided it was time to find out.

Have you ever looked at your inbox and felt hopeless and overwhelmed?
I have felt that way, too. I couldn't figure out how such an easy tool was taking up so much of my time.
In the pursuit of not wanting to feel that way myself, I set out to discover how I can manage my time more effectively on this very topic. As I uncovered the right information I realized that it is of course, small shifts that make a big difference when it comes to not feeling burdened by my own inbox.
Now, I want to share these tips with you so that you too, can feel less stress and have more time in your business - woo hoo!

There is a very famous quote, 'if you fail to plan, you plan to fail', by Benjamin Franklin.
While not everything can be planned, your marketing and strategies, should always be planned. At this time of year, you should have next year laid out already in terms of ideas, launches, strategies, etc.
If you take the time to pre-plan your year you will be well ahead of the rest of your competitors. You will also have a much better chance at creating stronger marketing that will lead to higher conversion rates, thus more profits and impact.

This is a common occurrence for many self-help coaches during the time that I like to call the ‘manifesting hump’. The manifesting hump is that time when you have worked long and hard but you haven’t gone over the hump to exponential growth or results… yet.
It’s about the same time a lot of people start to give up and move on to something else yet if only they had stayed a little longer, they just might have saw the fruits of their labour.
