Should You Fire Your Client?

As coaches we are blessed to work with our clients everyday. However, sometimes clients can come along that aren’t always the best match for us. You know the ones I’m talking about...you cringe everytime you see their email in your inbox or their number on your phone.

One of the best parts of being your own boss if that you get to decide who you work with. So, the question is, should you fire that client? Should you really say ‘no’ to your customer?

In this week’s Magic of Marketing episode you are going to discover three scenarios when you might want to take the plunge and say, ‘thanks, but no thanks’ and give them that pink slip!

Check it out and let me know your thoughts. Has this ever happen to you? Have you ever had a mis-matched client who was creating havoc for you and/or your team? What did you do? How did you handle it?

I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks Lisa! That's a great point that I didn't mention in that specific way... the 80/20 rule. Once we start to realize who is taking up the majority of time, we can either find a way to streamline thier time or determine if it is because they do indeed, need to be fired! :)

Great way to sum up this issue, Jen. There's a "rule" that 20% of your clients take up 80% of your time and I have found myself helping some of my clients who are in the service industry to better manage (and yes, fire) those trouble-makers. I've been doing a lot of writing lately about toxic relationships and these points relate well to the conversation as well. Thanks for sharing!! No pink slip for you! xo
